Khaitan Agro
(Unit of Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.)

The Solvent Extraction Plant at Ratlam, West Madhya Pradesh was started in the year 1992 as a division of "Radico Khaitan Limited". However, in the Family Reorganisation in 1995 the division was spun off as a separate company in the name of "Khaitan Soya Limited". Subsequently in February 2001 it was merged with KCFL.

Since inception in the year 1985 the Solvent Extraction Plant has always earned cash profits. The initial capacity of the plant of 90000 TPA was increased to 120000 TPA after family reorganisation and after becoming a part of the Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Group. In 2005, the capacity has been again increased to 420,000 TPA.

KSL commissioned a 100 TPD refinery in the year 2000-2001 and launched the refined oil in the consumer market under brand name ‘Khaitan Vegetable Oil’. The product has received a very positive response from the market.

The group has always focused on State of Art Technology and this has been rewarded through its excellent and consistent quality of production.

Both the plants, the Solvent Extraction and the Refinery, are most modern plants and have been sourced from world renowned manufacturers.

Crude Soya Oil
:- The process of manufacture of crude Soya oil starts from the selection of high grade soya seeds from the producing belts of M.P. The crushing of seed is done in most hygienic conditions in plants partly imported from Belgium. The oil is sold to nearby refineries & to plant manufacturing Vanaspati and other edible oils. However a major part of the production is passed onto the Company’s own refinery commissioned in first quarter of the year 2000.

Refined Vegetable Oil:- The crude oil received from the Solvent Extraction Plant is passed through a number of processes under strict hygienic conditions and quality control. The refined oil is marketed under the brand of "Khaitan Vegetable Oil". The soya oil is considered to be amongst the best in the edible oils, since it has low, almost negligible levels of saturated fats which lead to cholesterol deposits in the blood vessels. The Soya Oil also has a high content of Vitamin E, favourable for a healthy skin.

De-Oiled Cake: - The high protein DOC is mostly exported as cattle feed and is now being preferred all over the world over non-veg cattle feeds prevalent in Europe and other developed countries.
